Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence Tools

Computers can beat us at chess and Jeopardy as has been shown over the past couple of decades. We use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools daily in our lives including word prediction, spell and grammar checkers, voice assistants and GPS navigation. Advances in generative AI including chatbots (e.g. ChatGPT, Jasper AI, Bard) have spurred new discussions and the need for guidelines in our schools as we define what we believe and what we want from the current state of AI.

Artificial intelligence (AI) can offer a myriad of opportunities to enhance teaching, personalize learning, and improve student outcomes. While AI holds immense promise, its integration into the school environment demands careful consideration and strategic implementation. The  guideline aims to provide a framework for navigating the ethical, pedagogical, and technological aspects of AI adoption, ensuring that it is utilized responsibly, effectively, and equitably to empower educators and students.
