Interested in beginning a new career with apprentice wages starting around $18 an hour?
The Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute (PNCI) offers a FREE three-week pre-apprenticeship class − Carpenter Trade Preparation (CTP).
The CTP will teach you what a Union Carpenter does, providing hands-on instruction, using the tools of the trade.
Upon CTP completion, qualified individuals will be eligible for directed entry into the Carpenter Apprenticeship Program at PNCI

FREE three week Carpenter Trade Preparation training class
Job placement, wage increases, health insurance, and pension
Qualified graduates may be eligible for directed entry into Carpenter’s Apprentice Program
The Area 1 Limited Energy Apprenticeship Program is accepting applications.
The Area 1 Limited Energy Apprenticeship Program is a 2 or 3 year program designed to give students the experience and training necessary to earn the status of "limited energy technician." Limited Energy technicians install, troubleshoot, maintain, replace & repair electrical systems under 100 volts. This program is a combination of classroom instruction at Clackamas Community College in Wilsonville, OR and work experience with approved employers.
Through this program, our apprentices receive:
Paid employment during training
The opportunity to learn skills sought by employers throughout the industry
Credit towards an Associate Degree at community colleges
A secure career and the ability to adapt to new job requirements
The background necessary to become a leader in the electrical industry
