Lyndsay Brooks - Team Ontario U17 Head Coach

To Whom It May Concern:

Mia Maectal is one of our top up and coming players in the Team Ontario 2024 class. Although we did not have a Team Ontario season in 2020 we ran a number of development camps for our top athletes. Mia was able to consistently compete with girls above her age group. Mia is a natural midfielder with good speed and consistent stick skills. In the midfield Mia has good speed and good vision, she is strong with the ball and has developed good stick protection skills. Mia is a feisty defender on-ball, with solid, quick footwork. She is able to see slides and works well in team defensive situations. She needs to continue to work on her offensive movement and decision making to be a complete threat at every position.

Outside of skill, Mia is a good communicator and a positive teammate. She is willing to take risks and likes to be challenged. Mia is able to communicate well with her teammates and coaches and is consistently looking for feedback to help her develop. Mia has been working hard both athletically and with her stick while lacrosse has been on hold. She would be a good addition to the Under Armor 150 event.
