We appreciate that getting connected from home to a school's online world can be challenging. We hope this page will help LBP families make their online learning experience an easier one.
The first step every student and family needs to connect successfully is to have the student's Student Number, which always starts with an S and is followed by 9 numbers (s#########). You will also need to know the student's DDSB password. If you do not know your student's Student Number or their password, please reach out to your student's teacher to obtain these.
For students to have proper access to DDSB Google programs; Google Classroom, Google Meet, Google Drive, etc., they need to be properly signed into the browser Google Chrome properly. This is true for both tablets, phones and both Windows & MAC computers.
Please Note: The computer browser must be Google Chrome to begin. If you do not yet have Google Chrome as a browser, please download the free program first.
Please have your WIFI and student's DDSB login information ready before you begin.
Google Classroom is an incredible method of managing class assignments, quizzes, projects, daily work, assessments, teacher feedback and marking. Students must be signed into Chrome with their DDSB login to access. Google Classroom may be easily accessed on a tablet or phone by downloading the Google Classroom app.
Google Meet is the video conferencing software that the DDSB has chosen to facilitate online classes, and other types of school meetings (SCC, Curriculum Night, etc.), for students, staff and families.
