In this unit you will explore the connections between economic, environmental and human factors that contribute to social inequities around the world. By studying the issues of resource extraction, pollution and climate change, you will identify how your personal beliefs and actions can have an effect on social justice issues related to the environment. You will explore actions taken by individuals, groups and governments in an effort to address these issues and evaluate their effectiveness. This will allow you to identify opportunities for you to participate in effective group actions related to the social justice dimension of environmental issues.
