Week 1 April 20-23/2021

Welcome to Week 1 of Virtual Learning in Cooperative Education.

We know that many of you are either missing your placements and wondering how this will all work. Some where stoked about preparing to begin your placement experiences. Learning online in Coop might seem a little bit strange when you think about how important your placement experience is to your success in Coop. We recognize that we simply cannot reproduce the experience online, but what we can do is work hard at tasks that will expand our employability skills, bolster our knowledge of various industries, plan for our future career, and Some of us may reflect on the placement, or job experiences we did and have had up to this point.

With that said, we intend to structure our online course (for now), in the following way:

• Each day we will connect through a google meet and discuss our objectives for the day. Please do not move ahead days. Please wait to complete each days tasks after the instruction given during our block 1 lessons.

• New content for each day will be posted each morning. Students may complete any time up until Sunday evening of each week. This week all work will be due by Sunday April 25/2021.

• Your Coop Monitoring Teacher is available through email or Remind at any time during school hours to help with assignments, offer clarification, or to support in any way you need.

This week we will be starting of with reviewing our Website, Classroom and Course Materials. Being sure to take it slow, as we understand you may have a few questions regarding how we will proceed through this quadmester. We will continue to remain on course with introducing you to the program and begin completing our pre-placement work.
