Ms. Kacee Theis's Crew

Being crew isn’t about smooth sailing with synchronized paddle strokes. It’s about showing up; with muddy boots, mismatched socks, and most importantly, laughter. It means that no one’s left drifting alone.

Every year, we build something beautiful and wild together. My first class at Fox Creek Elementary? A pack of rats. Constantly curious and always scheming up their next joke. My second class? A total swamp. A messy, mucky, magical ecosystem where everyone grew in their own wonderful way. We’ve made ridiculous memories, like belting Backstreet Boys during brain breaks, starting an oddly passionate feud over whether pickles belong on pizza, and debating whether a Pop-Tart is a ravioli (still undecided).

That’s crew. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being present. It’s about laughing through the hard stuff, celebrating the small stuff, learning and growing from the mistakes, and turning a classroom into a place where everyone belongs. Even the swamp creatures and the rats. 😉

And yes...those are real inside jokes born from the chaos of being a crew. Lifelong memories, courtesy of some wildly unforgettable kids and their one-of-a-kind weirdness.
