5th Grade Expiditions

Stories of Human Rights

What are human rights, and how do people respond when those rights are threatened? In this module, students develop their ability to read and comprehend complex texts as they consider this question.

Biodiversity of the Rainforest

In this module, students deepen their understanding of the rainforest by examining text structures and the author’s craft in the narrative nonfiction book The Most Beautiful Roof in the World by Kathryn Lasky

Secret Life of Money

This module focuses on financial literacy, the government, and economics. We will visit Young AmeriTowne that focuses on helping students gain insight and gain knowledge on how to manage money and personal finances!

Athlete Leaders of Social Change

In this module, students consider the factors that contribute to the success of professional athletes as leaders of social change, like Jackie Robinson.
