The mission of North Star Academy is to provide a Core Knowledge education with an integrated Spanish language program that challenges students to meet their highest potential through differentiated academic instruction and rich social and cultural experiences within a safe, orderly and nurturing environment. The goal of our Gifted and Talented Program is to fulfill this mission by providing enrichment opportunities for our gifted learners.
The mission of the North Star Academy Gifted and Talented Program is to successfully identify all gifted learners through an equitable, thorough process, and to provide ample opportunity for students to maximize their potential in both academic and social emotional areas.
A little bit about Ms. Egan...
I feel incredibly fortunate to be in my ninth year at North Star Academy. I have taught in the SPED department, the general classroom (grades four and six), and the GT department. I love everything about North Star Academy: the character education, the high standards for academics, the amazing staff, students, and families, the warm and welcoming culture - it is an absolute pleasure to be a part of this community. All three of my children attended NSA, and we couldn't have chosen a better school!
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree from the University of Colorado. I have lived in Colorado for 26 years and certainly take advantage of the trail system and weather! I'm an avid runner/triathlete and love the outdoors.
