Let's turn Biodiversity Park into Halloween Hollow!
As we showcase all of the amazing things happening in Biodiversity Park, we thought it would be fun to empower our community of students and families to take part in transforming it into Halloween Hollow for this fun time of year.
We encourage all students to create a pumpkin to line our Pumpkin Path! Pumpkins may be carved, painted, and/or decorated with natural adornments that will decompose if left behind.
We have designated special areas for families to Sign up to Decorate and let their creativity shine! Families may also add a sign to the area: "Compliments of the “?” family".
Multiple families may sign up for each area for some fun family collaboration!
Here are the areas:
Welcome to Halloween Hollow - Decorate the entrance around and in front of the sign and stage as a photo shoot area, including hay bales to sit on, corn stalks, pumpkins, scarecrows to have pictures taken with, etc.
Scarecrow Hollow - We would love creative scarecrows to greet visitors by encircling our covered learning area and lining the Pumpkin Path. We have 6 poles around the learning circle to sign up for as support or feel free to improvise and place your scarecrow along the path.
Boo Bed - The raised bed area could showcase spiders, bats, and maybe ghosts?
Our goal is to be finished with this transformation before Trunk-or-Treat takes place on October 25 and leave it up through Halloween, October 31.
Decorating may begin over Fall Break or on Monday, October 21.
Students bringing in decorated pumpkins to line the path may bring them to their class and classes will head outside to line the path.
