On any given day you will find Castle View High School students hanging out in the library. They are studying, printing assignments, doing puzzles, participating in tutoring, looking for books, perusing new displays, participating in book clubs, getting technology help, or just taking a break scrolling their phones. The "regulars" chat with librarians about books, classes, and their daily lives. It is a welcoming space for the school community to participate in events from chess club, meetings, grief counseling, vision and hearing screenings, or any other activity that needs a home base. This sense of community exists because it is fostered by a supportive principal and leadership community, as well as three librarians that care deeply about their work.Â
I hope you enjoy looking through my collection of work that contributes to the engagement and success of our school community.
