This is my ninth year of teaching and sixth year here at Fox Creek! Prior to teaching first grade at Fox Creek, I taught in a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Montessori classroom in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since being at Fox Creek, I have taught 1st grade and absolutely love it! In my classroom, I believe in creating a safe learning environment for students to learn authentically to meet both academic and personal milestones in order to become positive, contributing members of society. I believe in building strong relationships with each student in order to know how they learn best. In my classroom you will see students working in a variety of ways that are conducive to their individual learning needs in a peaceful, structured learning environment. The classroom will look different throughout the day and is ever-changing based on student needs and interests while students work on hands-on learning activities and long-term projects.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

I was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Colorado in the summer of 2020. My partner Scott & I live in Parker with our new puppy Josie. I am very close with my family which includes my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and nephew who live back in Michigan. When I’m not in the classroom, I like to go camping, hiking, skiing and spend time with my family and friends.
