EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
This is my eleventh year of teaching first grade at Fox Creek Elementary School. I believe in educating the heart, hands and minds of all my students. I want them to feel known, cared for, respected and trusted as we embark on our learning journey together. By creating a trusting environment and encouraging a growth mindset, all learners will feel capable, willing to challenge themselves, and open to trying new things.In our classroom you will see our crew focusing on the Habits of Character through hands-on experiences, play, collaboration and Crew. You will see our crew applying their knowledge through restorative practices, reflection, and inquiry. I believe that learning is best done through interactive experiences both in the classroom and out. We will work together as a Crew to wonder, explore and support each other.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Hi, my name is Jamie Kolb. I could not be more excited for this year with you and your child in first grade. I am a native to Colorado and live in the Littleton area with my husband, our two daughters Maddie and Emma and our two dogs Bodhi and Roo. This is my eleventh year teaching at Fox Creek Elementary. I am passionate about learning for both myself and my students and look forward to a great year together. If I am not in my classroom you can find me going on hikes with my dogs, spending time with my family, skiing, reading or doing yoga.
