Resources are our greatest asset. While I divided the resources up for parents, teachers, and students, many of the resources are applicable to all parties, so don't limit yourself to just looking under the tab related to you. We all dread hearing the "B" word--bored. In the case of advanced/gifted students, it can mean that they are being asked to complete tasks that contain already mastered skills. This article is based on twice exceptional children (identified as gifted and also having an IEP or 504), but I feel it applies to all our students with asynchronous skills development. The Taxonomy of Boredom and the strategies contained within can be used with all children and a great tool for every teacher to have in their tool box.
