A parent, teacher, friend, or the student him/herself can make a GT referral. Once a referral is requested the identification process begins. A set of forms must be filled out and returned to the GT Facilitator. These forms are all electronic and included in the following link:
Referral Form/Parent Survey/Student Survey (for the student survey, a parent may type in answers for a younger child)
Once the document is submitted, you will receive an email with a copy of all your responses for your own records. I will send a quick email, informing you that I received your information. If you have not heard from me in a few days time, please reach out to me, letting me know you submitted a referral.
Once a referral is received, the identification team must communicate with you, the parents, within 30 school days as to the progress of the ID process. There are many cases where we need ample time for the student to demonstrate his/her strengths for us to build a performance body of evidence, particularly in the talent areas, creativity, and leadership.
