Schoolwide Math Challenges Program

General Information

Math Challenge is a free math enrichment program for all Eldorado Elementary students, no registration is necessary! There will be 15 sets of challenges published approximately every other week throughout the school year, and each set will present 10-18 problems ordered by level of difficulty.

How to Participate

1. Print out the current math challenge (copies are available in the school office too)

2. Solve as many questions as you can. Please pay attention to the minimum number of questions required for your grade. Students are encouraged to ask for help if needed!  We would love for you to complete these as a family!

3. Once you've solved the challenges and are feeling confident, it's time to submit your responses. On, or before, the assigned due date, place your completed work in the "Turn In" basket outside of Mrs. Hamlin's office. Your submissions will be scored and given back to your teacher the following week. To add a bit of excitement, for each challenge, we will randomly select one winner per grade level from the students who turn in their completed challenges. Listen for your name on the announcements because you might be one of the lucky winners!

Remember, math isn't confined to the classroom. Feel free to discuss the challenges with friends and family, and explore different approaches to problem-solving. The most important thing is to enjoy the process and HAVE FUN! Math can be thrilling when you approach it with curiosity and a sense of adventure.
