SUMMER & FULL DAY SHIRTS
During field trips in public places it is EXTREMELY helpful for everyone in our group to have matching T-Shirts for easy identification & supervision!
In the past we have had you purchase from a DCSD provided supplier, but we have learned that this is not super effective in terms of timing of shipping... some people never got their shirt until the summer was over which was NOT helpful!!!
This year we are going a different direction recommended by other programs...
PLEASE GO AHEAD AND ORDER THE PLAIN MINT/ SEAFOAM GREEN ATHLETIC - QUICK DRYING - MATERIAL SHIRT FROM ONE OF THESE AMAZON LINKS BELOW TO USE FOR THE SUMMER ON OUR FIELD TRIP & WATER DAYS! THIS ALSO ACTS A LAYER OF SUN PROTECTION WHEN WE SPEND LONG PERIODS OF TIME OUTDOORS! (We may or may not iron on our school information, as well as label it with their names; so please be aware of that when purchasing, this shirt will be dedicated to Cougar Club Summer & Full Day Programming):
KAKU NANU Boys Rash Guard UPF 50+ Sun Shirt Toddler Short Sleeve - COLOR MINT GREEN
KAKU NANU Long Sleeve Rash Guard Boy Kids UPF 50+ Swim Shirts - COLOR MINT GREEN
SUMMER 2024
(7:00AM-5:30PM):
Your child must be enrolled in Elementary School to attend our summer program! We are excited to welcome our incoming Kindergarteners who are at least 5 years of age, on July 1st, 2024. Incoming kindergarteners who are 4 years of age, may begin on their first full day of school in August.
You may register your incoming Kindergartener in May for the 2024-2025 school year through the registration page on this Website!
6th Graders who have graduated from Cougar Run and will be attending Middle School, it's time for bigger and better things! We will miss them, but we feel there may be other more developmentally appropriate settings for your Middle Schooler!
Please be advised that we are a first come, first serve and pre-pay program. We cannot guarantee a 100% availability each week, however we do use a waitlist in case of cancellations. Please email sumer.sandel@dcsdk12.org to be waitlisted for a session. If a spot becomes available we will contact you (sometimes we don't know till the day of the opening). We do not issue refunds, credits or switching of days (See Parent Handbook).
We have a 1 Staff to 15 Student ratio mandated by the state of colorado. We will cap our Summer Full day sessions between 30-45 students depending on available staffing and based on the daily activity. Some venues require a 1:10 ratio, like swimming.
Per district requirements, EVERY field trip will need a DCSD waiver filled out! Some trips may also require that you fill out an additional waiver for the venue/facility we are visiting. We will take a district school bus or a charter bus for off-site trips. Some on-site activities will also require a waiver. There will be no on-site provisions, and all children in attendance will be expected to come on the field trip.
YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES WITHOUT REQUIRED WAIVERS!
We aim to release our Summer Activity Calendar, Required Forms/ Waivers, etc. in the beginning of May each year when the following years registration becomes available.
If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to Sumer.Sandel@dcsdk12.org or call our office at 303-387-6709. We will be happy to answer any other questions for you.
