August 2026 Updates

We hope you are having a wonderful summer, I know we are!

Before and After School calendar for August and September will open on Monday, July 27th.

October, November and December sign-ups will open on Monday, September 14th.

January, February and March sign-ups will open on Monday, November 23rd

April and May sign-ups will open on Monday, February 1st

This does not include any full days. All full days will become available for sign up, two weeks prior to their date.

Please make sure your child is registered for the 26-27 school year, if they will be attending before or after school care.

As we prepare for the start of the school year, please keep these important reminders in mind:

• Space may be limited, so we encourage families to register early.

• Please review your updated information carefully before submitting your registration. Please ensure all medication, health and contact information are all current.

• If your plans change after registering, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust school care works, staffing and make space available for other families.

• Please make sure your account information and emergency contacts are up to date before registering. Emergency contacts should not be parents. 

• If your child has a medical condition, we must be notified and have medication and the appropriate paperwork available the first day they attend.

Also, here are some summer reminders:)

• Please pack your child with a refillable water bottle and extra snacks every day.

• Please register your child as far in advance as possible. We schedule staff based on enrollment and required child-to-staff ratios, so knowing how many children will be attending helps us plan appropriately.

Important Information

Signing your children In/Out of the Program

Please ensure that you sign your children in and out of the program using your PIN number from School Care Works.

If you are a split family, then you must use the PIN that corresponds with the PAID account for that session in order to avoid discrepancies and possible drop-in charges.

CCAP families must sign in/out of the program TWICE! Once with the school care works app on the ipads and once with the Colorado Shine CCAP portal in the Safari app. If you do not keep current with your sign-in/out on BOTH systems, you run the risk of being charged additional fees, slating involuntary absences, and, worst case - the loss of CCAP privileges altogether (which would be decided by your case worker, not BASE). Please reach out to your caseworker for more details on how CCAP works.

CLUBS NOT WITH COUGAR CLUB

If your child will be participating in a club outside of Cougar Club BASE programming (i.e. girls on the run, tutoring, ROCKS council, etc.) and they are scheduled to attend BASE in the same day, then please fill out this form so we can be in compliance with state licensing requirements:
