Fossils, fossils, they are so cool,
You mightn’t find them in a swimming pool.
Fossils are dead animals from the sea,
They’ve worked as hard as a busy bee.
Fossils are historically important,
But they can be imported.
Fossils are preserved in stone,
Everything rots away but the bone.
The animals may have been clever,
But they have been under stone forever.
They could have had luscious locks,
But now they’re preserved in rocks.
In the world there used to be roars,
But now we’re safe from dinosaurs.
