WHAT IS the common app?

This is a free online platform that allows students to apply to multiple colleges and universities with just one application. Instead of filling out separate applications for each school, you can complete your personal information, activities, essay, and recommendations once and send them to any of the 1,000+ colleges that accept the Common App.

This saves time, helps you stay organized, and ensures consistency across your applications. The Common App also makes it easier to track deadlines, manage supplemental essays, and request recommendations all in one place. While some colleges may still require their own unique application, the Common App is an efficient way to apply to several schools at once without duplicating your efforts.

This is a free database that can help you explore over 2,600 college profiles by filtering for location, size, costs, acceptance rates, and majors. You'll be able to compare your academic profile (GPA, test scores) to the qualifications of thousands of real students who were admitted, waitlisted, or denied at different schools! If you're not sure where you'd like to attend, or are between multiple schools, this resource is a great option to help you make your decision.

They've also just released a mobile app that includes access to important college application and testing dates! You can now search and compare over 2,600 college profiles, see your chances of getting in, and prepare, apply, and pay for college on the go!
