It's no secret that the path to finding our calling is nothing short of a bumpy road. We run into obstacles and pass milestones, only to realize that this is merely the beginning of our journey to self-discovery. We continue to make decisions and mistakes that determine the trajectory of our lives, and in doing so, we continue to grow, mourn, but most importantly, learn.
Sir Desi Dario Magnaye, at his core, is a learner. With almost 20 years of service at DCHS, he rose to his position with a yearning for knowledge. Let us look back on his journey and learn how far dedication, discipline, and faith can lead you to finding your calling.

Hiking is a hobby that I have always kept close to my heart. It is a hobby my beloved dad absolutely loved. I remember crying on my very first hike. Dad “pep talked” me throughout the whole 10 km of that dreadful experience. After it, I promised I would never hike again.
The comforting yet freezing air within our bus contrasted with the scorching heat of the sun outside. While we were on our way to the “Palm City of the Philippines,” banana and palm trees of various sizes and a passing look of buildings from old to new were all around us. Having seen all those, most of us forgot that this was a city whose key areas were submerged in flood waters weeks ago.
What goes through someone’s head when the merciless tides of water creep up onto the calves of one’s legs? What would be one’s thoughts when the chilling coldness of rising currents cause shivers to erupt and goosebumps to appear?
