05-20-2022: HS Show choir audition results

Congratulations and thank you to all who auditioned. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead in our show choirs.

While we have taken every effort to make sure we post a 100% correct list, mistakes happen from time to time. If one of these scenarios pertains to you, please follow the directions:

PLEASE REMEMBER: each person and each voice makes our choir program the wonderful experience we offer. Each person is placed where they will grow and contribute to making all of our program better. The results may not be what some of you had hoped for; it is okay to feel disappointed. Know that no matter which show choir you are in next year, it is up to all of us to make both Impulse and Momentum the best they can be moving forward. Trust the results and help us make each group as special as they can be.

If you have any questions abouty your placement, please wait until Monday, May 23rd to contact Mrs. Davenport.

We firmly believe this will help grow and expand our show choirs as we continue building a program of vocal excellence! We look forward to an exciting year ahead!

05-02-2022: HS Show choir audition FAq's

There has been so much great interest in joining the high school show choir program! As we prepare for auditions next week, here's some answers to the most frequently asked questions.

When will the dance workshops begin?

Both Monday and Tuesday dance workshops will begin at 3:30pm in the Meadows Choir Room at the High School (room #812).

When will Friday audition times be shared?

You will receive an email from Mrs. Davenport on Wednesday, May 4 confirming your audition time for Friday. With such a large number of auditionees, 15 minute time blocks were created to best utilize student time. Spots were filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Can I come early on Friday?

YES. You are guaranteed to audition at your time, but if someone is late or does not show, we will open that spot to any interested individual who is waiting their turn. If you are late to your time, you will be worked in as soon as possible.

Will a video recording of the dance be made?

YES, a video recording will be made. A link to the video will be sent to your school email for you to use throughout the week.

If I can't attend a workshop, what do I do?

You will receive the link to the video and learn the dance on your own / with friends.

If I can't attend Friday auditions, what do I do?

Keep an eye on your email - we'll send you specific instructions!

When will the lists be posted?

The lists will be posted no later than Friday, May 20 (and no EARLIER than Tuesday, May 17, so don't frantically check over the weekend!). You will receive an email when the lists are posted - they will be posted here on the Vocal Music Website - and social media announcements will also be made directing you to the website.

If you have further questions about show choir auditions or the process, please contact Mrs. Davenport. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you next week!
