The savanna is home to many animals. It has a warm climate and is teeming with life. The savanna is home to many animals such as different types of mammals, reptiles and birds. The savanna is home to the "Big Five" game animals - lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and African buffalo. The term was made up by big-game hunters to refer to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot, but it is now more widely used by tourists and safari tour operators.
Tigers, also known as Panthera Tigris, are a critically endangered animal. Tigers are facing things like poaching, habitat loss and retaliatory killings. This animal's fur is often used for decorations. We need to help these creatures before it's too late.
Tigers are part of the carnivore family. That means they eat other animals for food. Some of the foods they eat are wild boar and deer, but they are also known to eat monkeys, buffalo, sloth bears, leopards and even crocodiles. Tigers are incredible hunters and have great skill, I cannot bear to see the fact that tigers are endangered and are under threat.
Tigers are endangered due to various factors, including poaching, illegal trade of tiger parts, loss of habitat, human conflict and climate change. Poaching for items like pelts, teeth, claws and bones has significantly impacted tiger populations. Habitat loss, human conflict and climate change have also contributed to the decline in tiger numbers. Conservation efforts by organizations like the World Wildlife Fund and others aim to protect tigers through initiatives such as building land bridges, breeding programs and on-the-ground protection from poachers. Educating oneself about tigers and supporting conservation efforts are crucial steps in helping endangered tiger populations.
Males live for about 15 years in the wild and around 26 years in captivity. Males live longer than most females.
Females live about 8-10 years in the wild and 26 years in captivity. The longest living female was 15.5 years old.
Tigers are endangered for many reasons one of those reasons is poaching. Poaching is a massive global problem. Tigers are poached for their skin, bones and organs. Their skin is usually sold for decoration, the same for their bones, while their organs make valuable medicines. A type of valuable Chinese medicine is made of tigers' organs. At the same time this is very bad as this is decreasing the population of tigers and this is the main reason why they are endangered.
The next main reason is retaliatory killings. Retaliatory killings are harming, assaulting, or killing someone or something that attacked you.
Habitat loss is another reason. Humans are cutting down trees and destroying the tiger's habitat. This leaves the tigers homeless and open to threat . We have to save these animals before it's too late .
The black rhino, also known as the Diceros bicornis, is a Savanna endangered species. These amazing creatures have a population of only 6,487 left. That may seem like a lot of rhinos, but believe us, its' dangerously low. These amazing creatures are bound to be extinct by 2036.
The black rhino's diet consists twigs, branches and shrubs. The black rhino is a herbivore. Herbivore means that the animal eats only plants and does not eat meat. Unlike the black rhinos, big cats and bears eat meat, which is something a black rhino doesn't do.

Illegal wildlife trade is something that affects the black rhinos a lot. Black rhinos have two horns, making them very valuable. Black market trading is also something affecting the black rhinos. Rhino's horns, organs and body parts are sold illegally, making the black rhino decrease in numbers. This is one of the main reasons why black rhinos are endangered.
Fun fact!
Did you know that black rhinos are more intelligent than most rhino species? Cool right!
Male rhinos live from 35- 40 years! Impressive right?
Females live longer than males! 35-50 years! Wow!
Black rhinos are endangered species. But why? Black rhinos are endangered for a few reasons. Black rhinos are endangered because of poaching. Poachers are killing black rhinos for money to sustain themselves. Black rhinos have two horns and those two horns are very valuable. Dehorning a black rhino does nothing to them, but why take away such beautiful things? A rhino's horns make very valuable Chinese medicine. Black marketing is also a big problem to black rhinos. People sell the black rhinos' body parts and this is not good. We have to help these amazing animals.
