Why are they endangered?

他们为什么会濒临灭绝？

Koalas are small, grey fluffy tree huggers. They store food in the sides of their mouth so they can sleep in peace. Most koalas can sleep up to 20 hours a day. Koala in Aboriginal language means "No drink", but now, these fluffy creatures are decreasing very fast and are now listed as one of the endangered animals. About 4,000 koalas die every year from cars and dogs alone (source - savethekola.com),  that doesn't include bush fires, drowning in swimming pools and habitat clearing.  

Over the years Australia has had many terrible  bushfires like the Black Summer Bush Fire. It killed a lot of koalas. Koalas also die from loss of habitat. People cut down trees and move their big trucks and cars. These koalas that live there have nowhere else to go. While they are still trying to adapt, a lot of them are  being killed. 

考拉是一种小小的，毛茸茸的一种生活在树上的动物。他们把食物存在嘴里，这样能慢慢吃。很多考拉可以一天睡20个小时。考拉在最早的语言里的意思是 "没水"，但是，现在，这些可爱的动物们已经濒临灭绝了。大概4000考拉每一年死在车和狗下，这些还不算上火灾或在水池里淹死。在这几年里，澳大利亚有很多恶劣的灾难，想黑色火灾，这种灾难杀死了很多很多的考拉。还有一些考拉死在人类的手下，我们砍树，还把大型车类开进树林。那些考拉再也没有地方睡觉了，当他们在试着找一个新的地方生活是，有一大部分已经死了。
