Kiwi birds are small brown birds, about the size of a chick. They live under trees in forests. They are the only birds in the world that have nostrils on their beak.  They have wings, but can't fly, just like penguins. One of the most interesting thing is Kiwi birds' bones aren't hollow - they are filled with marrow.  Some people say that they have more in common with mammals than birds since they dig burrows instead of building nests. They are becoming endangered by predators like dogs, dingoes and any predator who wants to eat it, because they have nearly no defence against other animals. Humans are making it worse by destroying their habitat - they cut down trees and build houses and factories. Who will take action to help these poor animals?

猕猴桃鸟是一种小小的，棕色的鸟，跟一只小鸡的体型差不多。他们生活在树林下，是世界上唯一的鸟在嘴巴上有鼻孔的。他们有翅膀但不能飞，就像企鹅一样。其中最有趣的是，猕猴桃鸟的骨头不是空的，猕猴桃鸟的骨头富含骨髓。有些人说，他们跟哺乳动物更相似。他们濒临灭绝的原因他多数是因为捕猎者，像狗，猎犬，很多动物都想吃它，因为他完全全没有自身的保护能力。人类还在砍树，在猕猴桃鸟生活的地方搭房子和工厂。谁会站出来去保护这些可怜的动物呢？
