Why are they endangered?

Green Sea Turtles live in the ocean, but unlike most turtles, Green Sea Turtles only eat algae and plants. Their diet turns the fat inside their body green and that's how they got their name. Green Sea Turtles are becoming endangered due to climate change and coral bleaching and poachers. Climate change is affecting the Green Sea Turtles most. Climate change is making the water becoming warmer and warmer and the Green Sea Turtle's diet is effected by it. 

Also, the warm air is making glacier ice melt, which is causing the water level to rise. Green Sea Turtles like to hatch eggs at the same place, so as the water level rises, it means their nests have a big chance of being flooded.  As mentioned, a Green Sea Turtle's sex is dependent on the temperature of sand they were born in. Warm sand means that more females are produced than males, so the ratio between male and female turtle's has become unbalanced. 

绿海龟是一种海龟，他们生活在海里。不过，不像别的海龟，绿海龟只吃海草。这种饮食习惯把它们身体里的一种激素变成绿的，这是他们名字的来源。绿海龟现在已经濒临灭绝了，因为全国升温，珊瑚白化，和捕猎者。全国升温把海水变得比以前暖和一点，绿海龟的饮食习惯也受到了影响。还有，为暖的空气让海面上的一些大冰块化掉，海水也随着一起升了上来。绿海龟喜欢在一个地方下蛋，海水长了就代表绿海龟的会有很大的肯能性会被淹没。上面说过，绿海龟的性别是靠沙滩的温度来决定的，暖的沙滩就代表有越来越多的母绿海龟被生出来，男绿海龟就不够了。
