In Year 3 pupils build on their knowledge of number including adding and subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers as well as using decimals with increasing confidence. The will divide using a good knowledge of most of the times tables and start to compare and order fractions.
In Year 3 we will cover all the objectives over the course of the year beginning with 'Place value and properties of number'.

A great way of becoming comfortable with number is to work with part-part-whole models. This way children become familiar with the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction.
