Year 2

The main focus in Y2 is on understanding number and being fluent applying this understanding to a range of situations. Fractions and multiplications are often areas that can take longer to become confident using.

In Year 2 we will cover all the objectives over the course of the year beginning with 'Place value and properties of number'.

Yea r 2 problem solving

A great way of becoming comfortable with number is to work with part-part-whole models. This way children become familiar with the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction.
