At St Peter's we are proud to offer nine industry recognised VET qualifications that develop real skills that can lead to real jobs.
Our VET team are specialists in each field. They have worked in business and industry and know what employers want. All our VET courses can be combined with School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs).
Our VET team are also proud to deliver to a standard that meets ASQA requirements while at the same time achieving outstanding results in the Higher School Certificate Examinations gaining multiple First in Course, Top Achievers and Distinguished Achievers awards as well as World-Skills winners at various levels.
NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) has developed curriculum frameworks for a range of industries based on training packages. Work placement is mandatory to complete these courses successfully and provides valuable on the job training and future networking.
VET courses will provide nationally recognised Certificate II or III credentials which provide credits at TAFE and other Registered Training Organisations (RTO) and a pathway to University. VET courses contribute to the Higher School Certificate and ATAR if a student sits the optional HSC examination in the course. The University of Newcastle recognises a Certificate III as a pathway to University equivalent to an ATAR of 67.
