Most people think a portrait is a photograph of a person that only depicts them from head to shoulders. But a portrait can also be of your cat or your brother's feet on a skateboard. It should say something about the person you are photographing or the person you are creating with the camera.
BRIEF
Your brief is to shoot a series of photos that act as a self portrait or a portrait of someone using inanimate objects.
- photos need to act as evidence that you have explored the options in iPhone portrait mode. Load to Lightroom and add to a page in your site called PORTRAITURE.
When taking a photo of someone your main objective is for the image to capture the essence of the person.
Accept that your subject may be unfamiliar with having their photo taken, make them feel at ease .
Ask them to look behind your left shoulder, cross their arms look down, look up, place thir hands over their face, make them laugh with a stupid senario. Basically whatever it takes. Don't be afraid to get up close, change your angle or ask others to support your composition by have the subject look at them.
Take a series of photos .
Edit out asap poor images. Use your effects to edit out distractions. use cropping and post production.
