What are the objectives ?
Create a culture of responsible independent and collaborative learning that is a mindset for future learning. Students work collaboratively to build on and enhance the learning experience in the classroom. Individuals gain independence and responsibility of their own learning while sharing their knowledge with others.

IF YOU HAVE A STUDY CLASS PLEASE SIGN IN AT THE IRC AND REQUEST WORKING IN THE ROOMS. MRS BROOME WILL CHECK AVAILABILITY.

THIS SPACE IS FOR SELF DIRECTED LEARNING AND THE SHARING OF SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE. IF STUDENTS ARE DISRUPTING LEARNING, PLEASE INFORM YOUR YEAR GROUP HEAD OF WELLBEING OR IRC STAFF.
HOW DO YOU BECOME A COLLABORATIVE LEARNER?
Form or be part of a group of learners with high expectations and who are willing to focus group work on achieving learning goals.
Talking through concepts to make sense of them, and having fellow students ask you questions so you can justify your logic.
Reading each others’ lecture or reading notes to see what you/they missed and filling in the gaps.
Reading the same thing and talking about it.
Reading different things and teaching each others about what you’ve read.
Peer editing a paper.
Sharing resources.
Testing each other.
Having teachers set extra work or suggest areas of research.
Discuss past HSC papers.
Use Google classroom to collaborate with teacher and other students.
Use Resources loaded to Google classroom specific to your needs.
Have each one of your study group act as team captain for each session.
Have one person in your group act as a scribe. Share using Google DRIVE.
Use Google Drive to add comments on each others work.
Have an agenda for each meeting.
Review marking guidelines / standards
Use social media to enhance learning communication by inviting others.
Schedule learning sessions in a variety of spaces such as your local library, cafe or at different people's houses.
Be ready to learn. Have pens, paper, computers anything you may need. A white board and markers are ideal. See Mrs Broome for them. Large paper and marker pens are also a great tool for sharing ideas. Mindmap.
Make sure all of your communications are to the point and concise, value others time also. You will not only be able to reclaim countless hours of productivity but also make sure people give their very best while on your time.
