4. Skill Development Center
The Skill Enhancement Courses Committee of the University of Delhi invited proposals from its colleges for establishing Specialized Skill Development Centers (SDCs) to provide advanced skill-based training facilities to students. In response to this initiative, Deshbandhu College received a grant of ₹8,00,000 for setting up a Biotech Skill Development Center to support the Skill Enhancement Course “Medical Diagnostics.”
The center aims to provide hands-on training in modern biochemical and molecular diagnostic techniques, thereby strengthening practical learning and enhancing students’ employability in diagnostic laboratories, biotechnology industries, and research institutions.
The Biotech Skill Development Center has been established under the coordination of Dr. Prabha Arya, who serves as the SDC Coordinator, and will function as a dedicated facility for skill-based training and laboratory learning for students.
