Physics Department is mandated to nurture high standards of education to our undergraduate students of Honours and Programme. The department has highly experienced and research oriented faculty members who constantly engage in raising the academic standards of the department to accomplish this mandate. Due to the concerted efforts of its faculty members and non-teaching staff the department has been able to establish well equipped Physics experiment Labs such as Solid State Physics Lab, Electronics Lab, Computational Techniques Lab, Numerical Simulation Lab, Communications Lab, Thermal lab, Optics, Opto-electronics and Waves Lab, Electricity and Magnetism Lab andMechanics lab. The department has developed two new practical labs i.e.Advanced Optics Lab including interferometry and spectrophotometry and Nanomaterials Fabrication andAnalysis lab in the current session. In order to give a fillip to skill based education the department has also established an Instrumentation Lab where the undergraduate students will be encouraged to tinker with different concepts of Physics to fabricate basic instrumentation for the undergraduate curriculum.
