Lego Spike Robotics (Illumination & Transparency Unit)
Students learned about what a habitat is, and the things it takes to make a habitat a habitat: food, water, shelter and space.
Next, students discussed what other species share a habitat with giraffes - hippos, lions, cheetahs, elephants.
Students had class time to build one of the animals listed above from the African safari. Then, students created the habitat the animal needs to survive.

Recycling At Dayton Consolidated School ♻️
All classrooms will be continuing their recycling journey! We will be collecting paper only. Wednesday's, the large recycling bin will be picked up by a wonderful parent volunteer and brought to the recyling center. The goal is for students to understand what items can be recycled, and the impact it has on our world.
We have also applied for a grant through the EcoMaine program - stay tuned!
