Welcome to the Library! 

With the year in full swing, students have books at home, in the bags, in their cars- EVERYWHERE BUT the book return cart! PLEASE help your students return their books. The Library would not be a Library without BOOKS!

We have started a new school year with new books and a new cataloging system.  

Pre-Kindergarten will be learning how to care for books and use a Library.

Kindergarten will practice checking books out (books stay in the classroom).

First grade and above will be allowed to bring their books home.

Third, Fourth and Fifth grade will begin chapter book read alouds in Library.  

Daytons Library does not use the Dewey Decimal System.

 Dewey Decimal is a system for organizing the contents of a library based on the division of all knowledge into 10 groups, with each group assigned 100 numbers.
