Establish a Solid Understanding of Page 1 (Home Base, First 5 noted, and Ex 1
Then Beginning learning Ex 2, D, 3, 4, R, 5, & 6
Now work on some of the Variations. (These teach you various articulations)
Your first Long term goal is to learn all parts of Level 1-A at the Following tempos. 80, 90, 100, 110, 120
7th Grade (here you should follow the outlined procedure everyday you practice)
Always Start with a Routine. For 7th grade, I would use the routine outlined in Level 1-B, Although as you progress, you can Use Level 1-C or Level 1-D
Using your tracking sheet, create a plan for what etudes you will work on. Start with Level 1-A for review purposes
Review a few of the etudes you have been working on to see if you can check them off
Then move to new etudes you have not worked on.
Remember to listen to it first, to get a sense of what it sounds like
Then buzz or sizzle it.
Then begin the process of actually playing it on your instrument.
Check of any new etudes you are able
High School
Always Start with a Routine. For High school, I would use the routine outlined in Level 2-A. As you move through the Curriculum adjust your Routine accordingly

If you reach a Level Where there is a Solo, make sure you look ahead to see what the Solo entails. You should get in the habit dedicating a little time everyday to working on the solo.
