KeyChain Project: This was my first time ever making a Keychain and learned a lot of new things like using the pen tool, making curves, and learning to use the laser cutter the think I picked it up fast. I like that it was straightforward and, more work and less talk. Something that I learned is the the laser cutter will try to cut in detail from a none edited picture. I also learned you need to deselect the image you traced before you send it to the cutter. I thought that it was really cool how fast the printer moved and how accurate it is. In the end I thought my Keychain was really cool and think that I want to make more I just need to find the pictures.
After lazer cut the B17 i made a sticker for it i had a problem with the outer box around the sticker when cutting but got it fixed because the color was wrong.
The sticker on and off the keychain. The sticker printer or Roland got a fold in the paper resulting in it cutting slightly to the left, causing the white line to shadow the B17.
This is the outline of the B 17 that I used to cut out the B17 from the wood. I used Adobe illustrator for this.
This Picture on the right is of the Roland printer that we used to print the stickers.
We had to email the sticker the the printers computer i had some trouble with it because I had the wrong color so the outside cut line was not appearing.
This is what I used to create the sticker that goes on the back of the B17. To create the sticker i also used adobe illustrator.
