This is a nameplate that I made with the CNC Machine. It was designed in Fusion 360 and then exported from Fusion to the CNC. After it was cut out I spray painted it a matte black. Once it was dry, I taped lines where I wanted it to stay black. After taping I sprayed it purple. Once it was dry I took off the tape and I was left with the final result.
This is a picture of the nameplate after it was taped and spray painted purple. The painters tape that I used was not the best and left the lines messy after I peeled up the tape.
This is the final product. As you can see the lines aren't super exact because of the tape that I mentioned. Im still pleases with the end look though and I honestly think it looks pretty cool.
One thing that went well during this project was the designing of the nameplate. It ended up being about 15 inches in width and 3 inches tall. I very happy with the overall look of the nameplate. A challenge that I faced during this project was having to use the small files to clean up the edges. The outside ones were pretty easy to do because I used the router table. I think that if I ended up redoing this project, I would double check by base height to make sure that the CNC would cut through the whole piece of wood.
