Laser Cutter/Sticker Printer Project

In this project, we used the laser cutter and sticker printer to make custom keychains out of images we took. First, we got the preferred size of the keychains, put in the photos, and traced what we wanted to cut out of the photo. We learned most of the basics of Adobe Illustrator so we can do most of the simple things in the program.

I have used Adobe illustrator a few times before, so I knew a lot of what we were learning. I got the hang of the new things we learned pretty quickly as well.

Learning the sticker printer would have been a bit complicated, but we were guided through the exact steps, so it was very simple to learn it, but learning what else we can do with the sticker printer might be hard.

If I were to do this project again, first off, I'd use a different image, and maybe a more complex one, since the ones I used were pretty simple. I might want to try to add some more shades of engraving into the keychains with the laser cutter to see what I can make different with the keychains as well.
