Donald Knuth. Throughout Studio 2: The Wizarding World of Code you will have the opportunity to learn many of the small stones (tools) that make up computer science.
Coding In Arkansas
Requirements:
1. Study topic content and participate in a focused discussion with peers working on the same topic.
Your Coding and Computer Science knowledge can be at many different levels and can seem overwhelming. Being able to break down all the coding tools into small nuggets of information and allow you to have confidence in a coding skill.

Question prompt: Do you think coding / computer science has a place in your classroom? Do you think you, your school and your students value coding / computer science? Watch the video and reflect in your own journal thoughts about the video.
2. Check out the website, Promote Computer Science, by Code.org.
Make sure you check out the Arkansas statistics. When you are finished, use the worksheet provided and see how many of the questions you can answer. After you have finished share on Flipgrid what surprised you the most or what would you like to learn more about. Click on the Promoting Computer Science and then Green Plus Sign. Watch other video posts and comment on at least two posts.
Requirements:
1. Create one original inquiry-based blended learning lesson plans for a minimum of three tools that incorporates new learning using the provided template.
Using the coding tools above and lesson plan template provided, develop three lesson plans for each of each tools selected focused around the subject(s) and grade(s) you teach. The lessons should include at least three of the coding tools listed above; the tools can be independent or "smashed" together. Please be original with your lesson plans. In April 2019, each participant who has completed all status levels will have access to all the lesson plans.
2. Submit the lessons to this link and request a zoom with the instructor, tammy.glass@dawsonesc.com.

1. Implement the original lesson plans in the classroom with provided evidence (student pics of work, videos, etc.).
Using the lesson plans you submitted, implement the plans with a group of students. Make sure to take student pics of work, videos, etc. Use one of the provided rubrics that meets your lessons and score at least 5 students on their work. Those will be submitted as evidence in the movie star status, along with student pics of work, videos. etc.

2. Complete reflection form provided by instructor.
3. Request a zoom with the instructor; tammy.glass@dawsonesc.com. Revise lesson, if necessary.
Requirements:
1. Make any necessary changes to your previous lesson plans and evidence collected as mentioned in the director status. (Make sure you make the changes in the lesson plan copies you submitted.)
2. Share out through social media, blog, or website the activities your students completed within the lessons. On social media, please use #hashtag Studio5C when sharing. (Screenshot evidence of your "share out"). The instructor will ask for evidence during the exit interview.
3. Email the instructor; tammy.glass@dawsonesc.com and inform them you are ready for your exit interview. Instructor will determine completion of topic and request a zoom session with you.
