PD Hours

Studio5C provides an opportunity to be introduced and/or dive deeper into various instructional methods and activities that incorporate computer science and technology and implemented into the classroom to impact student learning. This professional development is flexible for the teacher therefore maximizing resources and efficiently using teacher’s time. Teachers will be able to reflect on different strategies they have taught using these methods and activities.

​Teachers will be given the opportunity to earn 9 Professional Development Hours (PD hours) per studio. Teachers may sign up for more than one studio.

​Teachers will need to complete the following to receive the 6-hour credit:

• Enroll through escWorks Studio of their choice.
• Complete each status level in one of the Studio Topics.
• Meet with the Instructor at least three times throughout the studio via Zoom.
• Participate in all requested activities (demonstrate learning through classroom examples, student work, etc.) for each registered Studio.

The Instructor will:

• Meet with the teacher at least three times throughout the studio.
• Keep track of status levels for the Movie Star Status Board.
• Send out digital badges to participant for completion of each tool/application.
• Provide necessary paperwork for documentation.
• Invite participants to the Awards banquet for completing the Studio.
