3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
On the campus of Davidson College
The 2025 edition of Davidson Space Day will consist of an activity fair, public lecture, and stargazing.
Chambers Lawn | 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm
The activity fair will feature dozens of astronomy-themed hands-on exhibits, games, and demonstrations prepared by Davidson students, faculty, and staff. We may also be treated to visits by a few local organizations! In the case of inclement weather, the activity fair will be moved to the first floor of the Watson Science Building.
Tyler Tallman Hall | 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
The speaker for the public lecture, as well as a title, abstract, and bio will be updated soon!
Chambers Lawn | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Bring a blanket and join us on the lawn for an evening of stargazing. You can enjoy a guided tour of the stars or wonder at the heavens through our telescopes and binoculars. Have a favorite astronomical object? Feel free to request to see it up close! Due to the nature of optical astronomy, the stargazing session will only be held if the sky is free of clouds.
Davidson College is located 19 miles north of Charlotte, just off Interstate 77 at Exit 30.
