The Davidson College Physics Department and Society of Physics Students are dedicated to sharing the wonders of physics and astronomy with the community. We typically host two on-campus astronomy community engagements events each year. We can also be found collaborating with schools and other local organizations to bring public astronomy programming to the Davidson area.
If you would like to receive email notifications about our upcoming events, please use this form to join our mailing list!
In the case of inclement weather, the exhibits and activities will be moved indoors to the first floor of the Watson Life Science Building. Due to the nature of astronomy, the stargazing session can only be held if the skies are clear. Updates to the event locations and/or schedule to to weather can be found on this website. Any changes on the date of the event will be highlighted appear at the top of the page. Please check back here before coming if the weather is questionable!
