FELLOWSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS, & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Focused on scholarly, service and professional pursuits, fellowships combine highly specialized learning environments with opportunities to make transformative change through practical experience, global exchange, rigorous training, and collaboration. The Matthews Center for Career Development’s Fellowships & Scholarships Program and Davidson Impact Fellows Program help students and alumni pursue these scholarly and experiential learning opportunities.

7 Number of years Davidson has been named a Top Producer for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program

To foster their humane instincts and disciplined, creative minds, Davidson students and alumni look to prestigious fellowship and scholarships programs as opportunities to enrich their lives of leadership and service. The Fellowships and Scholarships Program guides them through the formative process of applying for these awards, helping them articulate their strengths, refine their goals, and envision solutions to the world’s most pressing problems.

This year’s award recipients reflect Davidson’s tradition of developing outstanding scholarly and service-minded leaders. Committed to making a difference where they’re needed most, they will pursue research, study, and service around the world.

2021-22 Davidson Impact Fellowship Program

The mission of the Davidson Impact Fellowship Program (DIF) is to provide high-impact fellowship positions for graduating Davidson students with key nonprofit leaders at the forefront of critical social issues. DIF empowers postgraduate fellows to create and implement solutions to the most urgent problems confronting communities, fostering leadership, and promoting robust social change.

Thanks to the generosity of the Harvey family, underscored by partners at Wells Fargo Securities, Levine Foundation, and the Duke Endowment, this postgraduate fellowship initiative has empowered Davidson graduates to work with organizations addressing critical social issues such as health, education, policy, social justice and the environment. The 2021-2022 DIF program welcomed a new host organization this year, the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.
