Pillars

Leveraging the Davidson network, the Matthews Center empowers students to assess and achieve their postgraduate goals. This is primarily accomplished through the foundational pillars that drive our services.

With in-depth assessments and advising, including virtual appointments and full-day drop-in hours, and a suite of online platforms and resources, the Matthews Center is always accessible to support students and alumni as they explore, develop, and launch their career journeys with success.

The Matthews Center provides professional development and skill-building opportunities for current Davidson students as they prepare for a successful transition from college to professional life and activate day-one readiness in a dynamic professional landscape.

The Fellowships & Scholarships Program connects students and recent alumni to world-renowned programs across all disciplines, including the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, Rhodes Scholarship, and more. The program focuses on identifying and developing potential scholars, one-on-one advising, and providing resources to guide applicants through processes from start to finish.
