Our team participated in the VFW contest. This contest was writing an essay of how we can make America better. The prizes included money from $500 to $5,000. Three students from team Z are moving on to the regional contest ; those kids are Cody Jaconski, Kirsten Heffner and Lauren Walker.
In science we Team Z students have been participating in multiple science labs. We tested to see which dish soap made the biggest bubble out of Ajax,Palmolive, and Dawn. We had also tested to see if the string length affected how many periods the pendulum made. These are the experiments we have done so far but there a many to come!

On team Z in English class currently we doing a holiday poem. It will be broadcast on the radio on Christmas Eve in the morning and in the evening. The poem has to be about what you do on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The poem has to be between 10-15 lines no less no more. You are allowed to use rhyme scheme, but you don't have to. A rhyme scheme is where you have lines in a poem rhyme then it gets a letter of the alphabet. Then if you have a new sound then it gets the next letter of the alphabet. If we want we are allowed to choose to type it in our own font.
