January 13, The Life Skills Snow Ball was held in the gymnasium. Most of all Step-Up kids came to party with the kids. Some girls painted nails and did their hair. We got to dance with the kids, eat food, and take pictures with the kids. The girls and boys had fun at the party, danced, and sang to the music. After the party Step-Up kids stayed at the dance to have pizza and drinks, then went back to their 6th period dance.

Chorus is a great way to pass your time! Taught by the fun and energetic Mrs. Sensor, chorus is an activity that everyone will love! We get to perform in front of the whole school and sometimes even other people. If you’re afraid of singing in front of an audience, then she could put you in the back of the group that is singing. Honestly, you’ll only stand out more if you are scared. But other than that, our regular classes are filled with fun. You will find that Mrs. Sensor generally shares at least one interest with everyone, so you will find that the songs she picks will most likely agree with your taste in music. If not, then there are always other songs and other concerts. But it is almost guaranteed that you will either love Mrs. Sensor, chorus, or both!
Band is an activity that any music lover will instantly gravitate towards. There are countless instrument options, the most popular being flute, trumpet, drums, trombone, saxophone, and clarinet. Some other instruments are french horn, baritone, tuba, bass guitar, bells, and bass. Classes are a bit chaotic, but when we start playing music, we sound amazing! Mr. Sensor, the teacher, is kind and patient, and makes every band class something to look forward to! The school has instruments to offer if you do not have your own, but many instruments are already in possession of current band members, which of course is a good problem to have( though no doubt disappointing to those still wishing to join band that are in need of an instrument ). Everyone loves band that I have talked to, and I certainly love it, to! So, if you are looking for a way to lose yourself in music both in school and out, band is a great activity to consider!
