4/13/24 - Hixon Lab members (Amritha, Adelaide, Calista, Aksheta, and Lynne) participated in the 9th Annual Science Day at the Life Sciences Center and hosted a hands-on biomaterials activity for local kids and families.
4/4/42 - Amritha Anup received the prestigious NSF GRFP Award!!
4/2/24 - The Hixon Lab ( Amritha, Adelaide, Sree, Isaiah, Jack, Kavin, and Eoin) participated in the Thayer Open House and led a hands-on biomaterials activity for Upper Valley kids and families.

2/6/24 - A big CONGRATS to Peter Bertone for winning an ISFR Poster Award! He was one of ten finalists that was judged during the poster sessions.

12/15/23 - Peter, Annika, Kavin, and Emma are all finalists for the 2024 ORS ISFR Poster Award! They will all compete at the ORS Annual Meeting in February in CA.

11/4/23 - Adelaide Cagle attended the second ever Global Collaborative Congress on Osseointegration (GCCO) this past weekend. She was chosen from a large group of abstracts to give an oral presentation on a “Tissue-Engineered Combination Construct for Osseointegration Support.” Awesome job, Adelaide!!
11/3/23 - Congrats to Lynne Li on receiving UGAR grant funding (Kaminsky Family Fund Award) for her Honors Thesis!
10/14/23 - The Hixon Lab attended the 2023 BMES Annual Meeting. Peter Bertone and Sree Panicker both gave oral presentations on bone oncology and electrically-stimulated bone formation, respectively; Adelaide Cagle and Levi Olevsky gave poster presentations on dermal adhesion and craniofacial reconstruction, respectively. We are so proud of these trainees and their hard work!!

5/25/23 - Annika Nikhar was awarded the very competitive WISP Sophomore Scholarship to fund her research in our lab all of next year!
5/15/23 - Emma Kerimo received full funding for 2023 summer research via the Leave Term Grant!
4/24/23 - Medical Student Oraya Vesvoranan was awarded the competitive Hitchcock Foundation Student Research Award to complete a rotation in the lab this summer!
4/8/23 - The Hixon lab hosted an activity for Science Day at Dartmouth! Amritha taught local students (5-10th grade) how to make *colorful hydrogels* with assistance from Annika, Levi, and Olivia (Goods Lab) - https://academic-outreach.dartmouth.edu/programs/science-day
3/20/23 - The lab pitched for a second round of funding and were awarded additional support from The Dartmouth Innovations Accelerator for Cancer!
2/23/23 - Ph.D. students Peter Bertone and Adelaide Cagle were both admitted to the highly competitive PhD Innovation Program (IP) - Surgical Innovation Track!
