• 9/14/26 - Dr. Hixon was invited to present the lab’s work at the Johns Hopkins University Biomedical Engineering Seminar Series! Her talk, “Tuning the Microenvironment: Biomaterial and Oxygen-Based Strategies for Bone and Tendon Regeneration,” highlighted our work across musculoskeletal tissue engineering.

• 9/14/26 - We are thrilled to welcome several new members to the Hixon Lab! A big welcome to our new Ph.D. students Varad, Luiza, and Thomas, with Thomas co-mentored by Dr. Alex Boys, and to our new postdoctoral researchers Dr. Afton Limberg and Dr. Dan Merryweather, with Dan receiving additional mentorship from Dr. Alex Boys. We are so excited to have you all officially joining the team!

• 9/9/26 - Congratulations to Aleyna La Croix on officially becoming a Ph.D. Candidate!! We are so proud of you and excited for this next stage of your Ph.D.!

• 9/8/26 - NEW PUB ALERT!! New collaborative work published in JCI Insight examining the role of proliferating osteoblast-lineage cells during fracture healing! • 8/12/26 - The Hixon Lab had a great time hosting a K-12 Community-Dartmouth Partnership “Regrowing the Body” session! We loved sharing tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with local high school teachers through hands-on activities.
