Students who receive financial aid should be aware that if the Guarini Institute's total estimated cost of the program is greater than a term in Hanover, their aid package will be modified and/or met with additional Dartmouth Scholarship funds to cover the difference.
For help sorting out who pays what and how, contact Financial Aid.
Tuition and expected family contribution for Guarini programs are the same as for an on-campus term.* Expected family contribution is often used towards program expenses rather than for tuition.
*12 College exchange participants are billed their host institution's tuition and fees instead of Dartmouth's.
All costs, including airfare and spending money, are considered when determining the cost of a Guarini program. while students are responsible for purchasing their own plane ticket and, in many cases, meals, the estimated cost of these is included in the budget etimate. More information can be found in the Budget Sheets.
If you have a work expectation for the term, this will be replaced by scholarship funding for programs that span the entire term.
